Earth science encompasses so many areas that are of natural interest to children. Through encouraging children to carefully explore their outdoor environment they begin to see the elements of art and principles of design around them.  In this workshop we discuss a wide range of activities that can support children's earth science knowledge and development and love of creating visual art.

Being outside in nature opens up a vast array of learning opportunities for young children. In this workshop we will investigate ways to deepen children's learning as they explore the properties of earth materials and objects, the weather, the seasons and objects in the sky.  In addition we will discuss ideas and activities to teach about caring for the environment.
