Families are a child's first and lifelong teachers. The more engaged and informed they are, the greater the potential for a child's success. Early Education Equity Workshops and specialty services are designed to recognize and value the skills and experiences of all learners and as such greatly value any opportunity to work with families on topics related to early childhood education and learning.
All workshops are open and appropriate for families. They can also be customized to meet particular interests and needs. Workshops that have traditionally been of particular interest to families have included:
- Getting Ready to Learn: A Sensorimotor Approach (Self-Regulation)
- Helping Dual and Multilingual Children Thrive
- I'm OK...You're OK - Using Children’s Literature to Address Biases
- Autism, a Strength Based Approach (Series)
- Getting the Most out of Reading to Young Children; Dialogic Reading
- How to Have an Oral Motor Picnic
- Active Learning for Visually and Multiply Impaired Individuals (Series)
- Having Fun Together While Learning Math at Home (Series)
