Behavior is the truest form of communication. Thus, when children behave in ways that are concerning to adults or disruptive to their peers, the adults in their lives need to pay attention to the underlying message.
In this workshop we will explore a variety of differing approaches to understanding and addressing the needs of children demonstrating behaviors of concern. Among these are concepts from the CSEFEL, Teaching Pyramid, “The Framework for Understanding” – a ECHM Approach, “Marte Meo” – A strength and relationship-based approach, and a Sensorimotor Approach.
